ELECTRO-ETCHING?
Electro-etching is a highly precise and specialized process that we use at HashtaGuitars to create unique and customized designs that distinguish our boutique guitars. This technique involves the use of a stencil to selectively remove metal from the surface of our Metal elements.
To etch our logo, special designs, and model numbers incorporated in our custom Guitars guitars, we first create a stencil using a computer-aided design (CAD) program or by hand. The stencil is then applied to the Metal elements, and an electric current is passed through the stencil and the Metal element surface.
The electric current causes the metal beneath the stencil to dissolve, creating a precise and detailed etching on the surface of the metal element. This process allows us to create intricate designs and logos with incredible precision, giving each guitar a unique and personalized touch.
Using electro-etching also ensures that our logos and designs will remain on the Metal surface for the life of the instrument. Unlike other methods of customization, such as screen printing or decals, electro-etching is a permanent solution that will not wear off or fade over time.
